How to build 8X8 LED matrix like this
I startede out with creating a rig - Using some Lego ® brigs. You can choose spacing as you like: Here 1L(L=Lego Unit (aprox. 8 mm) ) see multiplexing. (here 3X3, but the principle is the same) ((link to youtube video)) 
Use small 4 knops bricks for easy removement !!!
